WebMark needs icons; I've made a few, but I hate making graphics. So, I am requesting icons that fit in with WebMark's style (unless you feel the entire style and/or color scheme need revamping). Note that I'm talking about graphics here; I can handle text ;) To clarify some more: the icons need not contain text. They're too small to contain text, unless you can make a really sweet icon that's 14 pixels high but more the 14 pixels wide. However, note that there might be multiple icons per item, so this probably won't work too well.
I also need a new, better logo. The logo needs to portray the idea that WebMark's aim is to make information more available: to make searching efficient, where you get the results you want now, not after sifting through five pages of nonsense. Think efficiency, ease of use, quality, etc.
The major requirement for the icons that go inline with items (edit, add, move, delete, detail, related items) is that they not force items to be spaced further apart. I probably want at least 2 pixels of space between icons. Therefore, I suggest 12x12, 14x14, or perhaps 16x16. The last will not be great for people who like to view text on the smaller side, So I'd probably say go with the 14x14. However, if you need the extra 2 pixels to make the icon look excellent, go ahead. I want transparency and I want the icons to work in IE and Firefox, so I think a gif with transparency on is your best option. See the "back" icon above for the sort of thing I expect.
What I really want are icons that are easy to understand (the user will have an option to display text next to the icons) and make browsing WebMark a more pleasant experience. My university's newspaper comes out by 16:00 GMT, 4/4/05, so I need the icons by a few hours before then.
