introduction
This is more of a page on Christianity thoughts I've had that haven't made it to their own pages yet.
sin as a perversion
Some religions and many people seem to believe that evil is the opposite of good. If this is wrong, if evil is actually a perversion of good, then the "opposite" idea is insidious. Here's why: if evil is the opposite of good, then there is nothing in it that can be redeemed, no essence that is noble, nothing to be done but suppression. On the other hand, if evil is a perversion, then one can go about unperverting the desires which became distorted and evil. One version tells people that part of them needs to be cut out or permanently suppressed, while another tells them there is a way to make them whole.
